While attending the SIA Fall Tour in 2007 at the Nevada Northern Railway, we were permitted to tour the buildings on site. One of them was a carpenter’s shop for doing any of the woodworking the railroad required.
I didn’t get a chance to look at the papers near this desk, though I wish I had!
Inside, there were numerous wheels and belt drives for running all of the saws.
There was a rip saw,
a band saw,
and a planer,
all set to run on a belt drive.
