In 2006, I did a lot of watching for trains. I say watching, as the Socorro tracks only have about 12 trains a day, so you could easily spend a few hours watching, and see nothing.
If I ventured up to Belen, there was more to see. They average around 90 trains a day, so there was a lot more activity.
