One evening in Amarillo, I decided to play with long exposures and light while watching trains. These are all at least 8 second exposures, and it was a challenge to not let the locomotive lights drown out the shot. Even so, the shot I wanted never happened- there was a thunderstorm nearby, and I wanted the train and lightning in the same shot, but it was not to be.
In fact, my 18 megapixel camera was accidentally set to “email mode” of 640×480, so had I the opportunity to take the picture, I would have been disappointed anyway.
